Matt Dumba of the Arizona Coyotes has been officially traded to the San Jose Sharks.

The deal was signed ahead of trade deadline in order to address an "injury depleted blue line".

In return for Dumba, Arizona will be receiving both a 2027 fifth round pick, and a 2025 seventh round pick.

Matt Dumba's current contract is set to a $3.9m cap hit, and the Coyotes will not be retaining salary.

Because of trade related reasons, Matt Dumba was not present during the game against Minnesota on Thursday.

Matt Dumba's stats as of this season are 4 goals and 6 assists for a total of 10 points throughout 58 games played.

Although his performance has declined over the last couple of seasons, his shots have not seemed to be affected.

After losing Mikhail Sergachev due to an injury and subsequent surgery, Tampa Bay has been attempting to solidify their defense.

All that is left to do is wait and see how Dumba performs for the Lightning, as fans await to see if this deal pays off.
