It's safe to say the Corey Perry's termination from the Blackhawks was the largest story in the league.
The story took on a life of it's own after some vicious rumours surfaced and became the main story on all forms of social media that was declared 100% false.
After spending time away, Corey Perry managed to land a new deal with the Oilers where he is trying to find his way once again.
But according to Frank Seravalli of the Dailyfaceoff.com it appears that news has broke on a cap change for the Hawks as it was felt to be an improper termination.
The amount coming to the Hawks has not been disclosed and with the cap going up next season could absorb the cost bump.
Clearly with the enormous cap space being available as the team is going through a rebuild and the team not in a competitive window, they could handle a small cap change rather than let this drag on.
This should be the final chapter in this incredible story.
