NHL insider just confirmed rumour speculating on former Stanley Cup Champion
Former Stanley Cup Champion Chandler Stephenson, has just became one of the top free agents in 2024.
Chandler Stephenson could most definitely be a cap casualty for the Golden Knights, as he's due for a hefty raise.
David Pagnotta of the Fourth Period has revealed six teams could face off in a bidding war to acquire the forward.
The six teams being, Toronto Maple Leafs, Nashville Predators, Vancouver Canucks, Carolina Hurricanes, Boston Bruins, and Washington Capitals.
Stephenson had shown his skills as a two-way forward, with his solid offensive and defensive skills, a trait many organizations could benefit from.
However, Stephenson is a crucial member of the Golden Knights so it won't be surprising if they try their best to re-sign him, if they can afford to.
The 30-year-old forward appeared in 75 games with the Golden Knights this season, scoring 51 points( 16 G, 35 A), and has had two back-to-back 60-point seasons in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.
