Matvei Michkov To Take Part in Rookie Game Against The Rangers

Matvei Michkov will be the ultimate draw to the Rangers rookie camp for NHL fans, as he will be seen for the first time on ice in North America, competing against Rangers prospects.
Brennan Othmann and Brett Berard will have to be on their A-game against who is considered a general talent.
The Flyers and Rangers rookies will compete tonight against the PPL Center and of course, all eyes on Michkov.
The 19-year-old was selected seventh overall in the 2023 NHL Draft, falling to Philadelphia after controversial statements were made by a pro-scout.
Michkov played in the KHL last year, scoring 41 points( 19 G, 22 A) in 47 games split between HC Sochi and SKA St. Petersburg.
Michkov is one of the most gifted offensive talents from the 2023 NHL Draft. He'll be able to show off his abilities with the Flyers tonight.
"First game in a Flyers jersey, and I'm a little bit nervous," Michkov said via NHL.com. "But by the time warmup is over, that should be all gone."
Most Rookie games are ignored, but Michkov should draw eyes on PPL Center tonight, whether online or in person.
