New York Rangers forward has been trending on social media for an incident that occurred during Thursday nights game at Madison Square Garden.

The New York Rangers pulled off an impressive victory against the San Jose Sharks as they managed to take a 3-2 victory after an embarrassing 6-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

However, New York Rangers veteran forward, Vincent Trocheck is trending on social media after throwing up an inappropriate gesture to the San Jose Sharks bench after scoring a goal in the second period.

Here's the gesture that Trochech threw up to the Sharks bench after he scored the goal and got back on Rangers bench:

When looking closer at the situation it appears that Trocheck was just engaging in some friendly banter with his former teammates, Barclay Goodrow and Alex Wennberg.

As it looks like Trocheck is yelling «Bar, Bar» to get the attention of Barclay Goodrow as it was his first time returning to Madison Square Garden since the New York Rangers waived him during the offseason of 2024.

However, there's a very good chance that Trocheck could very well face some disciplinary actions for from the League for his «unsportsmanlike conduct» as the incident was caught on live television.

Trocheck would likely just be fined nearly $5000, as this isn't the first time we have seen this as Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman was fined $4,250 for giving the middle finger to Evander Kane of the Edmonton Oilers after a fight two years ago.

At this moment there has been no word from the National Hockey League which is a good sign, if anything changes we will be sure to keep you updated.
