Trocheck Achieving History With The Rangers In Hot Start To Game 1
The Rangers are off to a hot start start against the Carolina Hurricanes, currently leading 3-1 after the first period. Vincent Trocheck and Mika Zibanejad are the reasons why! Trocheck became the 10th player in Rangers history with a four-game goal streak in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The last to do so was Zibanejad (2-13), who has factored on all three goals to start Game 1.
Rangers are 3-0 all-time when Zibanejad records at least 3 points in a playoff game. One goal was a 5v5 goal, the second was a power play goal, and the assist came from the Trocheck power play goal.
The Rangers are 2-2 on the power play, scoring those two goals in only 23 seconds of power play time, while the Hurricanes are 0-2.
Second period will begin shortly!
