Team Bonding Trip Returns: Mike Sullivan Speaks Out On Bringing The New York Rangers Bond Back Together

New York Rangers Head Coach Mike Sullivan was interviewed today by the New York Post's Mollie Walker. In order to foster closer relationships between players, he instituted a bonding trip for the team and gave an in-depth reason why it came back.
Mike Sullivan is a two-time Stanley Cup-winning
coach in the NHL.
For an NHL Coach to do that consecutively, he'd need to know how to build team culture on and off the ice.
Which is why the coach and General Manager Chris Drury brought back the
team-bonding trip. Something that could've been used to build
chemistry during Peter Laviolette's time here.
But it took a drastic change of events for the team to course-correct, and this could be a good step back onto the winning path again.
The New York Rangers Aim To Foster a Culture of Friendship and Competition
To give you an idea of when the last time the team had a bonding trip was in 2022:
The last time the Blueshirts organized a bonding trip, this one concluding with a practice at Boss Ice Arena at the University of Rhode Island on Monday, was in 2022 under ex-head coach Gerard Gallant.
At the very beginning of Chris Drury's tenure as GM of the New York Rangers.
We saw both seasons under Gerard Gallant saw them make the postseason consecutively, but they couldn't find a way to make it to the Stanley Cup.
Will this season be any different? Given the caliber of the coach, it's debatable.
It's our opinion that the team needs to find a kind of methods to build chemistry with so many new faces in the lineup in order to get the team to gel perfectly.
Otherwise, we might see a team that quits in New York, and isn't "comeback kids".
