The New York Rangers have just assigned one of their top forwards to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
Just a few moments ago, the New York Rangers confirmed that they have assigned forward Brett Berard to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, something that indicates that top prospect Noah Laba has secured a spot on the Rangers opening-night roster.

It's official: Brett Berard has been assigned to AHL Hartford, which means the #NYR are down to 23 players and it looks like Noah Laba has made the team.
Along with this announcement, the New York Rangers have also confirmed that veteran forward Conor Sheary had been signed to a one-year contract deal. Resulting in Berard to be assigned to the Wolf Pack, and leaving still one more player to be cut.

Certainly seems like the right choice to have Laba on the Rangers opening-night roster. However i believe Brett Berard shouldn't have been the one sent to the AHL.
