Roster Transaction: The New York Rangers Organization Has Completed An Unexpected Roster Move
The New York Rangers Organization has just recently completed a roster transaction involving 21-year goaltender.
On Wednesday night, the New York Rangers American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate team, the Hartford Wolf Pack announced that they have completed a roster move involving 21-year goaltender
Callum Tung.
G Callum Tung has been reassigned by #NYR to ECHL Bloomington. He and Hugo Ollas will be the goaltending tandem with the Bison.
Dylan Garand and
Talyn Boyko will be the tandem in Hartford for the Wolf Pack.
This move was made as a part of the Wolf Pack's 2025 Training Camp roster cuts, which now leaves them with 15 forwards, 10 defensemen, and two goaltenders for a total of 27 players.
New York Rangers Depth In Goaltending Runs Deep
Tung then reported to the Hartford Wolf Pack on an amateur tryout (ATO) for the remainder of this season.
Prior to that the 21-year old goaltender, split the 2024-25 season between the Wolf Pack and the University of Connecticut. With the Huskies, Tung posted a record of 10-4-1 with a .933 save percentage and a 2.01 goals-against average over the course of 15 games.
However, with that being said the native of Port Moody, BC, had only appeared in two games with the Wolf Pack, posting a 1-1-0 record with an .893 save percentage and a 2.28 goals-against average.
