Some Are Complaining On How Kreider Scores Goals
Chris Kreider is continuing his relentless march towards the record books for the Rangers franchise.
He has the fourth most goals in franchise history with 274, six away from matching another Rangers legend, Adam Graves.
Kreider is on an insane pace this season for goals scored.
He currently ranks fourth in the league with nine, and if he holds this pace throughout the 82 game season, he will have scored 62!
That would be the highest scoring season of his career. Barring injury, 45+ is a lock.
Anything more is just incredible. He also leads the league in power-play goals with six.
Some however, are questioning the method in how he scores many of these goals, which is tipping the puck towards the net.
I've noticed some folks on our page, complaining on the matter and suggested he should be traded for supposedly being a one dimensional scorer, after he scored on another power-play tip-in goal last night against the Detroit Red Wings to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead.
Interestingly, he has led the league in tip-in goals since this stat has started being tracked in the 2009-2010 season.
He made his regular season debut in the 2012-2013 season.
I personally, do not care how he scores his goals. It may not be flashy at all, but it is effective, and as long as it is beneficial to the team, what is the problem?
Why fix something that isn't broken? If he can score 100 more goals this way, you won't hear me complaining.
