Just moments ago the New York Rangers organization recalled top defensive prospect from the Hartford Wolf Pack as they are reportedly dealing with another injury.
Early on Wednesday morning, the New York Rangers took to social media and confirmed that they have recalled top defensive prospect
Scott Morrow from th Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
UPDATE: Scott Morrow has been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack.
Certainly exciting news for fans as many believed he should have made the Rangers opening-night roster on October 7th. However, not long after the initial post from the Rangers organization, NHL Insider Colin Stephenson, confirmed the reasoning behind why he was recalled.
#NYR practice at noon today, I wonder where Scott Morrow will be on the D-pairs.
Vaakanainen only saw 2 shifts in the 3rd period last night.
But according to, Colin Stephenson the main reason behind the call up was due to the fact defenseman Will Borgan has sustained an injury against the Edmonton Oilers and Scott Morrow was recalled to ensure the Rangers have seven defenseman heading into their next game on Thursday against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Will Borgen will not practice today due to a lower body injury. Morrow being called up to ensure the Rangers have 7 defensemen if Borgen can't go in Toronto tomorrow.
Certainly not the greatest news, along with that it still remains unclear if Morrow will make his 2025-26 NHL season debut with the Rangers on Thursday or not.
