New York Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan doesn't hold back while explaining the true reason behind making Juuso Parssinen a health scratch just moments before Sunday nights game.
On Sunday night, the New York Rangers faced off against their divisional rivals, the Washington Capitals. However, just moments before the game started head coach Mike Sullivan decided to scratch Juuso Parssinen from the lineup.
Looks like Jonny Brodzinski is in for Juuso Parssinen on the Rangers' third line with Noah Laba and former Washington forward Taylor Raddysh. Matthew Robertson, replacing the injured Carson Soucy (upper body, IR), is paired with Will Borgen.
Something many fans expected to happen, but is still considered a shocking move considering the 24-year old forward has tallied one assists during his season debut with the Rangers on October 11th against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Mike Sullivan Didn't Like What He Saw From Juuso Parssinen
Following the Rangers game on Sunday night, head coach Mike Sullivan explained his reasoning for scratching Parssinen and it's safe to say he wasn't the biggest fan of what he saw on Saturday night.

"We're trying to make decisions based on what we see, to put combinations together to see if we can have some success. Jonny's had a pretty solid camp, so we're trying to move people in and out to give guys an opportunity to see what we have and see if we can find a combination in that bottom six that's going to work for us."
