All arbitration is done»
Ryan Lindgren was set to have an arbitration hearing on August 2nd with the New York Rangers, but thankfully that was avoided by getting this new deal done.
Lindgren was also the last remaining restricted free agent who could have had an arbitration hearing, but as Elliotte Friedman pointed out «All arbitration is done» so that will no longer happen.
The 26-year old defenseman played a total of 76 games last season with the Rangers and managed to talley 3 goals, 14 assists, and 114 hits, with a plus-22 rating.
There was reports that suggested the Rangers and Lindgren were talking about a long-term deal but ultimately they have settled for this one-year, which is more or less a prove-it deal.
The defensman has been a key part of the Rangers defensive strength, but he will have to truly show what he's made of this upcoming season if he plans on landing a long-term deal with the organization.
