Rangers Starting Goaltender Announced, Plus Potential Trade Partner Attends Game
Igor Shesterkin will be starting for the Rangers tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Igor Shesterkin boasts a 25-12-1 record, with a 2.70 goals allowed average and a .909 save percentage.
He's currently on a 4 game streak of making 35+ saves and is undefeated in the month of February with a 6-0-0 record.
The Rangers made an adjustment with their lineups too, moving Kaapo Kakko to the first right wing position, and pushing Jimmy Vesey to the third line.
Among the interested parties in the press box at MSG tonight: Ducks GM Pat Verbeek.
With Verbeek in attendance, he has to be looking at a roster player in a deal with any potential trade involving Frank Vatrano and/or Adam Henrique.
We will update on this as more information becomes available.
