Adam Edstrom made his NHL debut last night at Madison Square Garden in the 5-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks.
He replaced Nick Bonino, who skated in pregame warmups as the third line center.
Bonino obviously the player who was under the weather, so Edstrom got the call, and he was awesome yesterday!
Edstrom scores his first NHL goal in his first NHL game, becoming the first Rangers player to score a goal on his debut at home since Lias Andersson!
He was active all night and meshed very well with Cuylle and Brodzinski on the third line.
Edstrom has nine points (7G-2A) in 21 games with Hartford this season. At 6'7, Edstrom is tied for the third tallest skater in Rangers history.
