Rangers Ace Defenseman Will Soon Be Eligible To Return To Team
The Rangers have been rolling this season, sitting in first in the league at 15-3-1.
While Igor Shesterkinand and Jonathan Quick have returned to the team, Filip Chytil and Fox are still out, but both have resumed skating for the team.
Fox has even been seen out on the ice during practice a few times now with a red, non-contact jersey.
The Rangers have gone 7-1-1 without Fox and Chytil.
So there hasn't been any desperation to get them back on the ice as soon as possible. In the case of Fox, he will be eligible to return to the team after tomorrow night.
Since being placed on long term injured reserve November 3rd, Fox was ineligible to return to the team for a minimum of 10 games and 24 days.
The game against the Buffalo Sabres tomorrow night will be the 10th game. Plus 24 days have already passed, so technically, Fox will be eligible to return in the Wednesday match against the Detroit Red Wings.
It's doubtful we will see an appearance from Fox on Wednesday, especially since he hasn't resumed full contact practice yet.
But no need to rush him back since the team has been performing perfectly in his absence. My guess, we are still another week or two away from his return.
Same goes for Filip Chytil. I don't think that'll be a problem for the league best Rangers, don't you?
