Peter Laviolette makes his feelings known when speaking on the New York Rangers newly acquired players

The New York Rangers and Colorado Avalanche made a trade yesterday that sent Juuso Parssinen, and Calvin DeHaan to New York. The newest Blue shirts got a welcome arrival from Head Coach Peter Laviolette.
The New York Rangers have a new look, as they welcome new blood into the lineup. This time around it's defenseman Calvin DeHaan, a 700-game NHL veteran whom you know Laviolette loves.
On top of that the Rangers received a third-line center in Juuso Parsinen, who has spent his short NHL career with the Nashville Predators, and Colorado Avalanche.
When asked about the trade, Laviolette wouldn't be shy to let the compliments fly for both players.
Laviolette feels confident about what DeHaan can contribute with 700 games behind him:
While Parssinen will get a fresh start in New York, Laviolette seems ready to accommodate the youngster's request to play center. He's been playing wing recently.
It seems that Laviolette is ready to find a new spot in the lineup for the latest arrivals.
With Lindgren and Vesey gone, it shouldn't be difficult for Laviolette to play to their strengths.
Juuso Parssinen has played 37 games in the NHL this season and scored 18 points (7 G, 11 A) split between the Predators and Avalanche.
Parssinen was selected 210th overall in the 7th round of the 2019 NHL Draft. He's worked hard to get this far, it's doubtful he'll let this chance slip from his hands as well.
While veteran defenseman DeHaan has played 44 games for the Avalanche this season and scored 7 points (7 A).
DeHaan was selected 12th overall in the 1st round of the 2009 NHL Draft by the New York Islanders.
