The New York Rangers are gearing up for an epic showdown against the Nashville Predators tonight, and the stage is set for the Blue Shirts to inch one step closer to a wildcard spot. That said, tonight's carries a certain degree of hype as newcomers Juuso Pärssinen and Calvin de Haan make their highly anticipated debut to the lineup.
While the New York Rangers are coming off a disappointing 3-2 loss at the hands of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the boys are looking for a massive bounce-back tonight against a mediocre Nashville Predators team.
With new life injected into their roster, Rangers fans are eagerly awaiting to see how the team will perform.
While superstar forward
Chris Kreider participated in morning skate, it's looking like he'll be sitting in the press-box for his 4th straight game.
Predators projected lineup
I think it's pretty safe to say that this game is a massive one for the New York Rangers.
With a win tonight, the New York Rangers could boost their record to 30-26-2, moving just two points behind the Detroit Red Wings who hold the last wildcard spot in the Eastern Conference.
After practice, Rangers newcomer Juuso Pärssinen made himself available to the media, providing fans some insight as to what they can expect tonight against the Nashville Predators.
"I can bring some size, some physicality," Pärssinen said. "I know I can play with the puck, and on both sides of the puck. ... You've just got to play (well) every day. You can't have high highs and low lows."
-Juuso Pärssinen
Regardless, all eyes will be on the Rangers newest pair, and the team must respond following last Friday's loss.
