The Colorado Avalanche were quick to snap up former Rangers Jimmy Vesey and Ryan Lindgren this weekend.
Lindgren and Vesey were shipped to Colorado, in return for veteran defenseman Calvin DeHaan, and Juuso Parsinen.
The New York Rangers are trading Ryan Lindgren and Jimmy Vesey to the Colorado Avalanche for
Juuso Parssinen,
Calvin de Haan and a second- and a fourth-round draft pick in the 2025 NHL draft.
Obviously, the Rangers as they were constructed now couldn't make it work and GM Chris Drury is now selling.
Hurt feelings happened as a result of seeing teammates leave the organization, and it was no different
Mika Zibanejad.
Mika feels there will be a hole in the lineup without the "warrior" here.
Here's how he reacted to the trade when he was asked by Vince Mercogliano about it.
Trades are tough due to the human element of the game, which often takes a passenger side to the business side of hockey.
Now, is the time for the business side to kick into gear full-swing, and die down just as quickly until July.
We should expect more teammates to feel the pain of the losses in the lineup, and now this Rangers team is absent
Jacob Trouba, Ryan Lindgren, Jimmy Vesey, and
Kaapo Kakko.
It looks entirely different from October.
Will it make a difference?
