Peter Laviolette issues reasoning behind healthy scratching Gabe Perreault and fans are furious

It appears that Peter Laviolette has decided to scratch the 23rd overall pick in 2023, Gabe Perreault, from the lineup. The move has caused many fans to scratch their heads in wonder: What's going on?

The former 1st-round pick of the Rangers would play only three games in the lineup before getting benched.

When it comes down to it, Head Coach Peter Laviolette isn't viewing this as a demotion for Perreault, but a learning experience.

In his place, Brett Berard will slot into the lineup and gain the experience Perrault won't be able to.

Given the fact that the Rangers won't be making the playoffs, Laviolette should be curious to see what's in the team's toolbox, as it's likely that Perreault won't be able to get as long a look as he will now.

But instead, he remains adamant about letting him sit and learn instead of learning from his mistakes on the ice.
