New York Rangers defenseman Adam fox chose to call out head coach Peter Laviolette after he had made some changes to his defence parents which saw fox to play with K'Andre Miller.

The Rangers were at home to play against their original six rival the Toronto Maple Leafs which saw the Rangers come close but lose 4-3 with a late goal from Chris Kreider.

Fox points to coaches for changing the defensive pairings

"Yeah I think that's maybe a little more for the coaches. Whether it be some matchups or some offensive zone and defensive zone things, I think that's what they
were looking at."- Adam Fox

Laviolette had tried to juggle his pairings as he had K'Andre Miller with Fox when Matthew Knies scored the Maple Leafs fourth goal an winning goal.
"Mistakes like that just can't happen, especially with where we're at," Fox said.

Playoff Race in the East will come down to the wire

The Rangers who are in a playoff race between several Eastern Conference teams including the Ottawa Senators, Montreal Canadiens, Columbus Blue Jackets and the New York Islanders need every point they can find.
This game against Maple Leafs was an important game as the Rangers remain one point out of the second wild card and the team has lost three games in a row.
The next several weeks will be vital for the Rangers as the team has one more game remaining at home against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday March 22nd and then the team will head out West where they will play a three-game road swing against the Kings, Ducks and San Jose Sharks.
These games should be winnable for the Rangers as they prepare to face off against JT Miller's old team which will add a wrinkle into the storyline as he faces off against Elias Pettersson.
"Try not to be (frustrated) because we have a game at 1 (on Saturday), so we don't have much time for crying," Panarin said. "We just have to stay together, keep trying to win games." Artemi Panarin

Game time will be at 1:00 PM eastern.
