At the moment, the Rangers have 72 points and are a point shy of the second wild-card spot in the East held by the Montreal Canadiens.
The team will look a bit different tonight, as the Rangers will be without Matt Rempe due to illness.

Adam Fox will slot in with a familiar partner on the first defensive pairing tonight, with
K'Andre Miller.
The New York Rangers will have to figure out how to shut down Auston Matthews and the Maple Leafs.
They're 2nd in the Atlantic Division and aren't pushovers by any means while Craig Berube is in charge of the bunch.
The Leafs have won 2 out of the last seven games and will have an axe to grind as they have to compete with the Florida Panthers for the 1st spot in the Atlantic.
A win in regulation could put the Rangers ahead of the Canadiens, and at 4th in the Metropolitan give them a competitive edge.
The Rangers currently have a record of 33-30-6 and could add a 34th tonight if they can stop the Leafs.
