New York Rangers Superstar Forward Artemi Panarin Disrespected by The NHL: Fans Are Not Happy About It

The NHL Network on "X" likes to create lists to keep fans engaged during the offseason. For New York Rangers fans, their latest gag seems serious, but it is a serious disrespect to Artemi Panarin, a former 100+ point winger for the Rangers.
The New York Rangers had a down year as a unit in 2024-25. Under Peter Laviolette, massive regression would happen.
For
Artemi Panarin, a once 100+ point forward in the
NHL, he wouldn't bottom out, but his production would decline. Even in the case of a decline, he still managed to score 89 points (37-52), a feat not accomplished by most NHLers.
Despite his productive year, the NHL Network saw fit only to place him at #10 in the top NHL wingers of this past year.
Why the sudden drop? It's not like Reinhart is truly better despite winning a Stanley Cup in 2024-25. Reinhart was placed at #8 on the list, scored only 81 points, and isn't the dynamic winger like Breadman.
In a complete reversal, it seems like the majority of the list from last season, which was at the bottom, has been switched around.
Not a really fair or accurate way of measuring a player's true production. Given how easily Mitch Marner quit on the Maple Leafs in the playoffs, the disrespect is real.
Panarin makes $11.6 million AAV against the Rangers' cap space, and arguably still plays like it.
