What does the 2025-26 season have in store for forward Will Cuylle? Could New York Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan place him on a line with Mika Zibanejad and give him top-six minutes? Or will he be a Swiss-Army knife for the team and play more of a middle-nine role?
The New York Rangers' forward Will Cuylle had a breakout season in 2024-25. He'd score 45 points (20-25) on a team that was struggling.
A great job for a forward who, for all intents and purposes, was considered a bottom-six role player for the organization originally.
He's evolved into something else, thanks to time in the top-six at the end of the 2024-25 season, playing on the same line as JT Miller and Mika Zibanejad.
His production increased by 24 points in the last two years, progressing from 21 in 2023-24, and we could see an increase depending on his utilization by Mike Sullivan.
He'd earn a spot on the penalty kill, as his defensive skills have been vital to keeping the Rangers in hockey games this past season.

Sullivan could use him as an instrument to not only punish the opposition but also wear them down on the PK and score goals.
A solid two-way forward, who we haven't seen the full potential of quite yet.
With Chris Kreider in Anaheim, it seems a sure bet he'll end up in the Rangers' top six and continue his breakout in 2025-26.
The only question is, will he be the new Chris Kreider, or something else entirely? We're missing our net-front presence on the power-play.
