It was just recently reported that New York Rangers former third-round pick of the 2016 NHL Draft, Sean Day, has signed a one-year deal with the Bridgeport Islanders of the American Hockey League, the New York Rangers biggest divisional rivals.

Sean Day Struggles To Play Professionally At The National Hockey League Level
After being drafted by the New York Rangers, Sean Day only made his
NHL debut a few years ago, as he managed to skate in two games for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2021-22 season, and failed to put up any points.
Day, did end up playing for the New York Rangers AHL affiliates, the Hartford Wolf Pack, during the 2018-19 season and the 2019-20 season, Where he only managed to make a total of 62 appearances and tallied 18 points (4 G, 14 A) in the two seasons.
Which left him to find a new team once the 2019-2020 season was over. That team being the Tampa Bay Lightning's, the team he spent most of his professional career with after signing as a free agent back on July 17, 2020.
However, he will now provide 379 games of pro experience to a reshaped Bridgeport blue line that should have some younger, dynamic Isles prospects like
Isaiah George and
Jesse Pulkkinen playing significant roles.
