Must See: Matt Rempe Is Quick To Call Out New York Rangers Veteran During Latest Interview
Matt Rempe was interviewed by NHL Insider Mollie Walker as she tried to get an insight into his postseason and what it's looked like. Rempe, the fan favorite forward, told Walker his training has continued with spry teammate Jonathan Quick, even at the ripe age of 40.
Matt Rempe has been busy this offseason. He'll be taking part in the Shoulder Check Show, a benefit hockey game on Terry Conners Rink in Stamford, Connecticut.
All the while, he's been training with a group of players to make sure he starts his 2025-26 season off right.
One of them is teammate and roommate Jonathan Quick, a 40-year-old goalie who is past his prime, but still capable of manning the Rangers' net when needed.
Rempe is preparing to play a full season of NHL hockey after splitting his time last year with the Hartford Wolfpack.
Rempire Towers, and His Rise In The Ranks
In the NHL, Rempe found chemistry with
Adam Edstrom and showed that he's capable of being more than a goon on the ice every night. In 42 games, he's scored 8 points (3-5), and with the Wolfpack, he played 18 games and scored 5 points (3-2).
Rempe has played 59 total NHL games during his career and scored 10 points (4-6). He has pledged to be more than a goon in the NHL.
Not to mention, he's secured two more years in a $1.95 million deal with the New York Rangers after his impressive 2024-25 season.
After training with Jonathan Quick, the majority of the year, who still is capable of hanging with the 20-year-olds, will Rempe hit 20 points as a bottom-six forward this season?
Rempe was a former 165th overall pick in the 6th round of the 2020 NHL Draft.
