The winds of change continue to blow around the New York Rangers organization where one Rangers reporter identified three players who should be removed from the organization next year.

Blue Line Station Justin Bonhard feels that Rangers forward Matt Rempe, Chris Krieder and defenseman Zac Jones need to move on as the team looks for a new identity as newly hired head coach Mike Sullivan will begin his assessment for the new vision.

Matt Rempe and Zac Jones do not fit Rangers mold

Bonhard feels that the team needs to move on from Matt Rempe and Zac Jones as both players simply do not fit the mold of what the Rangers will be going forward.
There were several times this season that Rempe tried to make a big play, a big hit, and crossed the line enough to hinder the Rangers chances of winning. He tried to be a difference maker with his body, which is the most important part of his game, and he failed to do it in a way that would help his team. Justin Bonhard

Rempe will become an unrestricted free agent and it's quite unlikely the Rangers will resign him. As for Jones Bonhard thinks the 24-year-old defenseman may not return to the team as he will also be a pending free agent.
Questions did appear around the use of the young players in the Rangers this year including Jones who played 46 games, scoring one goal with 10 assists for 11 points. His numbers with the Rangers have certainly not been flattering despite this year being his best year.

Chris Kreider's days in New York may be numbered

There is a growing sense that New York Rangers star forward Chris Kreider's days with the team are numbered as they now have entered the offseason and will have a greater chance to move his contract.
It was unlikely that any teen would have taken on his $6.5 million per year contract as most teams have had their budgets locked in for several months.
General manager Chris Drury had made it public that he wanted to trade Kreider along with Jacob Trouba early in the season which caused disruption amongst the team and in the standings.
Many feel that this will be a top priority for Drury going forward as the team wants a new look on the ice and behind the bench.
