The New York Rangers have made an unusual call-up from the AHL tonight for the game against the Buffalo Sabres. The team has given the voice of the Hartford Wolfpack a shot tonight to call the Rangers game with fellow announcer, Dave Starman.
The New York Rangers will have a new look in the broadcast booth tonight.
Against the Buffalo Sabres, he will be joining his new broadcast partner for the evening, Dave Starman.
Starman recently joined the Rangers broadcast booth with Kenny Albert this season and will provide exciting commentary to each game this season.
However, today, for an undisclosed reason, he will be joined by Alex Thomas, who has been calling games
for the Wolfpack recently.
Thomas announced on "X" that he'll be joining the Rangers crew for a limited number of games this season, which is a lifelong dream for the broadcaster.
Alex Thomas Joins The New York Rangers Broadcast Booth Tonight
Thomas should give the Rangers fans a nice
variety in commentary, as we'll have talent like himself and Starman to make the game more entertaining.
He'll be joining Buffalo-born Dave Starman as the 0-1 New York Rangers take on their Atlantic Division
foes, the Buffalo Sabres.
The Sabres have yet to play a regular-season game, but will be led on the ice by center
Josh Norris and forward
Tage Thompson tonight.
Last season, they failed to make the playoffs, and this would be a game for the Rangers to regain their confidence after last night.
All with the help of Alex Thomas in the booth.
