It's been an interesting season so far for Ranger's defenseman Adam Fox as he is poised to break a record by the end of the year that no one wants him to do.

At his current pace, Fox will break former Toronto Maple Leafs Jimmy Thomson's single season assist record that was set in 1947-48. All Rangers fans hope this does not happen as it means he has not scored any goals in the entire season.

The current record sets at 29 assists and currently he has played 17 games and has put in 15 helpers along with being a + 4. Fox has been an assist machine as through 374 games played in his career, he has scored 53 times with 270 assists for 323 points and as a + 112.

Last season was his highest goalscoring year where he put in 17 goals and many hope including the coaching staff that he will break this stalemate and find his scoring touch again.

The Rangers continue to roll their season along as they hold a record of 12-4-1 as they had just defeated the Vancouver Canucks 4-3 last evening. Fox did not score that game which continues the streak.

After a couple of weeks of questionable play and being badly outplayed by several poor teams, it seems the Rangers have found their way and are now piling up the wins as they wish to continue where they left off at the end of last season.

The Rangers continue their western road trip as they are set to arrive in Calgary to play against the Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

This will be one of the tougher parts of their schedule as this will be a three-game and four-night situation as they had played the Kraken on Sunday, the Canucks yesterday and now the Flames this evening.

Game time will be at 9:00 PM eastern.
