Jonathan Quick achieves incredible milestone against Bruins
It's always great when the Rangers defeat the Boston Bruins as these old time rivals continue to battle every time they play each other.
It's even more savoring when you achieve a milestone that will be in the NHL history books which occurred tonight when Jonathan Quick tied Ryan Miller for the most wins by an American born goalie.
The Rangers earned this victory tonight as they beat the Bruins 5-2 while on the road.
Jonathan Quick was excellent in Nets as he allowed two goals on 26 shots which gave him a save percentage of .923 through 60 minutes.
It's important that the Rangers continue to keep him warm as he is a safety net for their goaltending in the playoffs.
After the game during his media scrum, Jonathan Quick reflected on how he feels about tying the record.
Having won three Stanley cups in his career with the Los Angeles Kings and the Vegas golden Knights, the veteran presence that he brings along with helping Igor Shesterkin can solidify the back end should give the Rangers a great chance to go deep this year.
