His second turn with the Rangers has seen him become a staple in the bottom six, as a hard-working, depth forward. He revived his career, with a PTO in
New Jersey, followed by a PTO here in New York.
The 2016 Hobey Baker Award winner would have his selection of where he'd land after finishing up his NCAA career, as a free agent. Vesey would be lured to the Rangers by Noah Syndergaard of the Mets, and Justin Tuck of the Giants on Twitter.

Vesy wouldn't live up to expectations and would instead be traded to
the Buffalo Sabres for a 3rd round pick. He wouldn't be a fit in Buffalo either, unfortunately.
Vesey instead would become a journeyman, playing for four different teams before the Rangers would become interested in a reunion two years later.
He took his PTO opportunity ran with it, and forged a new identity. But that identity can't save him for long with a new youth movement in New York.
The Rangers are in a great spot with Vesey, who has proven himself capable of being a versatile player.
He has played on the top line in the past and the bottom six, his results speak for themselves, as he should remain in the lineup.
Honestly, the Rangers need to consider moving on from someone like
Kaapo Kakko, before shifting someone like Vesey to the AHL, or to trade for meager assets.
Honestly, they should and if they win a spot, they should find a place while Chytil is out.
But should the Rangers move on from Vesey just yet? The youth movement is a great sign that the Rangers can draft well, and make great trades to acquire the right assets.
But if they truly want to run it back, Vesey should be involved.
