NHL Insider Frank Seravalli reveals Peter Laviolette's job as the head coach of the New York Rangers is at risk following recent development.

On Thursday morning, news broke out that former Rangers head coach John Tortorella has been fired from the Philadelphia Flyers organization, and now Frank Seravalli believes Rangers current head coach Peter Laviolette could be the next one to be fired.
Flyers GM Daniel Briere confirmed the news of Tortorella being fired as the organization issued a statement shortly after the news broke out.
OFFICIAL: The Flyers have relieved John Tortorella of his duties as head coach. Philadelphia Flyers Associate Coach, Brad Shaw, has been named interim head coach and will assume duties immediately.

Here's what Flyers GM Daniel Briere had to say on the decision:
«Today I made the very difficult decision to move on from John as our head coach," said Briere. «John played a vital role in our rebuild. He set a standard of play and re-established what it means to be a Philadelphia Flyer. John's passion on the bench was only equaled by his charitable work in our community. As we move into the next chapter of this rebuild, I felt this was the best for our team to move forward. I'd like to thank John for his tireless work and commitment to the Flyers."

Frank Seravalli believes Peter Laviolette will be fired before May 1st

According to Seravalli and many others, the New York Rangers will be looking to move on from Peter Laviolette after this season ends, if the New York Rangers fail to make the playoffs Seravalli believes the Rangers will relieve Laviolette before May 1st.
At the 13 minute mark of the video is when Seravalli talks about Peter Laviolette and the New York Rangers.
During his recent episode on the Daily Faceoff, he discusses several teams who would be a potential fit for John Tortorella, and by no surprise the New York Rangers were amongst those teams due to the way there season has gone.
The Rangers season has been filled with various struggles and they have tried several different approaches to turn things around but nothing seems to be working, so it's very likely that Peter Laviolette's job is on the line.
