New York Rangers reportedly set to make shocking roster transaction with an unexpected forward

New York Rangers may be preparing to make another roster transaction after recalling newly acquired forward Nicolas Aubé-Kubel on Monday.
The New York Rangers recently acquired Aubé-Kubel from the Buffalo Sabres just hours before the NHL Trade Deadline on Mar. 7th, and finally made his season debut with the Rangers on Tuesday night against the LA Kings.
However, with Sam Carrick out of the lineup on Tuesday night as he welcomed his new born child, Peter Laviolette decided to give the 28-year-old a chance due to his experience according to reports from Larry Brooks of The New York Post.
«He brings certain elements on a certain line,» Laviolette said «He's a straight-line player. He's physical. He can score a goal and he could shoot a puck. Heavy, strong, and good when he was with us in Washington for a little bit.»

With that's being said, it's likely that the New York Rangers will reassign Aube-Kubel to the Hartford Wolf Pack after he was only given a total of 10 shifts while recording 5:21 minutes of ice time during the Rangers' 3-1 loss to the LA Kings.
Many fans have been questioning Peter Laviolette's recent decision but now it seems like Laviolette is questioning his own choice, as both Carrick and Berard average over 10 minutes of ice time a night. So having Aubé-Kubel only playing over 5 minutes was certainly a choice.
Along with that, Sam Carrick is expected to be back with the team on Friday night when they take on former captain Jacob Trouba and the Anaheim Ducks at 10:00PM.
