Brandon Prust has apparently desired to return to hockey all of this time, as the former New York Rangers player has signed to play in the Ontario Senior League. He'll be suiting up for the Stathroy Jets in a situation that sounds right out of Shoresy.

Prust recently found himself coaching in the GOJHL Jr. B league, coaching the London Nationals. He must've been tired coaching behind the bench, as this year he's found himself signing up to play the game of hockey once more.
The former London Knight will be joining the Ontario Senior League to play for the Stathroy Jets in the 2025-2026 season.
The 486-game NHL veteran will bring some great experience to the OSL. Prust suited up for the Rangers, Flames, Canadiens, and Canucks during his career.
That should give him quite a leg up over his peers.
Prust is returning to his roots and staying in his community as he'll join the Jets in the hopes of adding some grit and determination that may have been missing.
It seemed like his personality couldn't handle the stress of coaching, as he experienced ebbs and flows with wins never coming consistently, and an outburst that saw him curse (they'd throw him out for disrespect and abuse) at the referees, which led to his ejection.
Maybe that's what led to his return to the ice, like Jonathan Toews, he has plenty of gas left in the tank.
Prust finished his NHL career with 486 GP-40-75-115 Points and 1036 PIMs. Those kinds of stats tell you one thing, and one thing only.
Goon.
