Former New York Rangers enforcer finds himself in trouble with the law and it's not a good look
According to a recent report from a French language report from
Radio Canada out of Quebec, the former Rangers enforcer appeared in court on Saturday via video conference to face charges of assault.
However, Brashear would plead not guilty to the charges during his appearance on Saturday, the alleged victim in this case is a woman, and no details about her identity or her potential connection to Brashear have been made public at this time.
The 53-year old has retired from the NHL after playing 36 games with the New York Rangers back in the 2009-10 season a career total of 1025 games in the National Hockey League. He played for five organizations in the National Hockey League over a 23-year pro career.
Brashear, has continued to play at a professional level of hockey, most recently playing for
the Jonquiere Marquis of the LNAH during the 2023-24 regular season, and even showed his fearless style of play as he went toe-to-toe at his advanced age.
