Former New York Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant reveals his displeasure with General Managers of the National Hockey League after he just landed a new head coaching position in the Kontinental Hockey League

On Wednesday, several reports surfaced that confirmed former New York Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant has officially landed a new coaching gig in the KHL, as he will become the newest head coach of the Shanghai Dragons.
Gerard Gallant is the new head coach of the Shanghai Dragons!
Gallant has had plenty of success in the National Hockey League as he won the Jack Adams Award as coach of the year in 2017-18 with the Golden Knights after he lead the organization to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Not long after that he managed to join the New York Rangers organization where he served as their head coach for two season and would take the team to the Eastern Conference finals in 2022. But he will now take his 700+ NHL games experiences overseas.

Gerard Gallant Expresses His Displeasure With NHL General Managers

Gallant has just expressed that he is not happy with how General Managers in the NHL won't give him another chance with a coaching gig, leaving him to turn to the KHL.
«I've been out for two years and nothing's happened yet,» Gallant said. «Am I a little pissed off? Yeah. But that's the way it goes and you wait for your turn and your opportunities.

«So, I took this job. I'm going to Russia, going to St. Petersburg. I have a two-year contract and I'm going to honor that contract.»

However, there's hope that Gallant, whose record in the NHL 705-369-262-4, and a .576 percentage, can be the game changer for the team as the Dragons are a new transformation of the Kunlun Red Star.
The Shanghai Dragons, official successors to Kunlun Red Star. This isn't just a rebrand but a bold transformation: a new city, name, crest, and identity, while continuing the mission to elevate Chinese hockey.

A team that finished last with a record of 28-34-5-1, and could use someone who's done more with less in Vegas.
