USA Today's Vince Mercogliano gave us a promising update on New York Rangers Captain J.T. Miller. The 29th Captain left the ice during practice after suffering an injury during practice.
The New York Rangers have
missed their
Captain, JT Miller. Appointed the 29th player to wear the "C" in team history, he'd find himself out of the lineup nursing an injury, coincidentally on the 29th of September.
Now, nearly four days after
leaving practice, he was seen skating on his own, according to USA Today's Vince Mercogliano.
With J.T. Miller out of the lineup tonight, we'd see Vinnie Trocheck slot in on line 1, while
Mika Zibanejad would play on the 2nd line, with Gabe Perreault flanking him on the right.
The New York Rangers are Playing Shorthanded Without J.T. Miller
As we receive news that J.T. Miller has begun skating on his own, his return to the lineup will be soon, we hope. Without their Captain, it's difficult to see how well they'll fare without the galvanizing force Miller has been in the locker room.
Tonight, they'll be taking on the New Jersey Devils, without him, while Vinnie Trocheck will assume the 1C duties, and Gabe Perreault will be in Mika Zibanejad's RW2 spot.
The 32-year old played a total of 32 games for the Rangers last season, where he scored 35 points (13-22).
The fierce competitor was named the 29th Captain of the team before the beginning of the preseason. He'll be in charge of leading the team back into the postseason.
