Former New York Rangers captain Dave Maloney officially joins the Rangers broadcast team

The New York Rangers have officially found their next TV analyst. Former New York Rangers captain Dave Maloney will join the Rangers as the new TV analyst for MSG Networks starting for the 2025-26 season.
Dave Maloney will join newly announced play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert in the broadcast booth this upcoming season.
Here's what Maloney had to say on joining the MSG Networks broadcast booth:
«I just couldn't be more thrilled, in all honesty,» Maloney said. «To be in this position, I'm really looking forward to it. And again, you mention the 100-year anniversary, it's just a little overwhelming, but I'm really looking forward to it. It should be fun.
«I've never held it against Kenny Albert that he grew up as a Vancouver Canucks fan. We've worked together for 20 years and it's funny, when we were signing off on the radio, it wasn't like we were an old divorced couple or something like that. We were actually getting along! To think that we were going our separate ways and here we are. It's great, it's great all the way around.»

Maloney and Albert will now officially be replacing Sam Rosen and Joe Micheletti, both of whom retired after the 2024-25 season.
Maloney has been the Rangers' radio analyst for 20 years alongside Albert, as they continue their partnership in the broadcast booth.
The 68-year-old played in the NHL, before becoming an analyst where spent a large majority of his career with the New York Rangers as he played 11-seasons for the Blueshirts.
Along with this Maloney became the youngest Rangers captain in 1978 at 22 years old, a role in which he served for two seasons.
