Former New York Rangers forward hasn't been getting much attention from any NHL organizations on the free agent market after the Colorado Avalanche refused to re-sign him, which has left him to consider making a move overseas and joining the KHL.

According to several reports, the 32-year old former New York Rangers forward Jimmy Vesey has not been gaining any attention from NHL organizations, but has been gaining a lot of interest from several teams in Russian. With the SKA St. Petersburg being the frontrunner to acquire Vesey.
Other interested teams include Ak Bars Kazan, Dinamo Minsk, and the Chinese club Kunlun Red Star.

Former New York Rangers' Forward Jimmy Vesey Actually Considering Joining The KHL

According to the report, a source close to Jimmy Vesey has stated that he has been asking question on how things how work in the KHL, and is seriously considering offers as he can't land a spot in the NHL.
«Jimmy has been asking a lot of questions about how things work in the KHL and is seriously considering offers from the top European league."

Jimmy Vesey Struggles To Find A Home In The National Hockey League

Jimmy Vesey was originally drafted by the Nashville Predators during the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, but never made his NHL debut until he signed with the New York Rangers as free agent in 2016. However, after three season Vesey bounced around a lot as he joined the Sabres, Maple Leafs, Canucks, and Devils before making his second stint with the Rangers in 2022.
During Vesey's second stint with the Rangers in 2022, he managed to almost play every game for the next two seasons, until last season where his role was diminished quite a bit as he only appeared in 33 games before being traded to the Colorado Avalanche in the Ryan Lindgren deal.
However, in Denver he didn't see much ice time as he only played in 10 games, where he contributed to just one goal and one assist, while averaging 10:34 minutes of ice time.
So i think it's safe to say if Jimmy Vesey wants more playing time he'e better to explore his chances with the KHL and truly see if his professional career can continue.
