Gm Chris Drury Completes Biggest Move In Years: It Completely Changes Things For Adam Fox

Fans in Madison Square Garden should be excited, as it seems the New York Rangers have solved an issue in the defense that's been plaguing the team. Since they signed Vladislav Gavrikov, Adam Fox has a legitimate partner for the first time in a long time. GM Chris Drury's best signing could turn out to be the former Los Angeles King.
The New York Rangers were bold enough to take a risk and trade K'Andre Miller this postseason. His contract ask was bold enough to cause GM Chris Drury to trade him. He'd land in Carolina and sign a $60 million deal.
While he cleared out a top spot in the lineup for now, Rangers defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov. Gavrikov will be joining Adam Fox in the top pairing in New York.
This is the first time in a long time that he's had a legitimate partner who could give him space on the ice to work and play his best game.
Gavrikov is a two-way defenseman who can play a solid defensive game and offer some upside on the other end of the puck.
Last season in 82 games with the Los Angeles Kings, he scored 30 points (5-25) and will be joining the Rangers in order to improve a busted-up blue line, which was too leaky last year.
Gavrikov will be making $7 million AAV in New York, as his newest deal makes him a Blueshirt for the next seven seasons in the NHL.
He was originally a 6th-round pick, 159th overall, by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2015. He wouldn't make his NHL debut until the 2019 NHL season, playing 2 games in the NHL playoffs for the scrappy team.
Now, the Rangers will need that energy, especially if they hope to get the full potential of Adam Fox alongside him.
