On Saturday the New York Rangers were facing off against the Pittsburgh Penguins, when veteran defenseman Carson Soucy was forced to leave the game early after colliding head first into the boards during the second period.

On Thursday afternoon several reports broke out that provided fans with a very encouraging update on Carson Soucy, as the 31-year old defenseman returned to the Rangers practice but was repping a red non-contact jersey.
Carson Soucy is skating in a red non-contact jersey this morning in Toronto. He's still ineligible to play tonight but that's an encouraging sign. #NYR
