Did The Rangers Dodge A Bullet Here?

The Detroit Red Wings made a major splash when they signed unrestricted free agent forward Patrick Kane on a one-year, $2.75 million contract.
Six games may be a small sample size, but so far, it's been a very slow start for the team and for Kane himself.
Red wings are 1-4-1 since Kane joined the team. Kane is -7 with one goal and one assist in six games and zero 5v5 points.
The Rangers were touted as a major front runner to snag Kane and there were plenty of fans who were in for it, just as equally, those who were opposed for it.
Hip resurfacing is almost always effectively a death sentence for NHL careers.
Guess Chris Drury instincts won out here.
