Tragic news strikes as the hockey community mourns the sudden loss of 21-year old hockey player

The hockey world is currently mourning the tragic loss of a 21-year old player who unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, April 5th.
According to recent reports, the devastating news comes out of a small town in Halifax, Nova Scoria, following a statement from the Chebutco Minor Hockey Association.
As they confirmed 21-year old Skyler Smith sadly passed away.
On behalf of Chebucto Minor Hockey Association, we would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of Chebucto Almuni, Skyler Smith.
Our thoughts are with all of you as you navigate through this unimaginable tragedy.
Skyler reportedly played hockey for the Chebucto Atlantics as he shared his deep passion for the sport with his father, Lee, and brother, Colby.
According to his obituary, Skyler was a ray of sunshine which held an infectious laugh. He embraced life and all it had to offer, constantly chasing his next adventure with his confident, hardworking, and dependable attitude.
Serval of his friends and family shared just how outgoing Skyler, revealing just how genuine he was as a person. He was a true friend.
A brother you could always could on, and the son you were always proud of. Many of his friends shared how genuine, honest and outgoing Skyler was, he made life worth living. He was kind, patient and caring. He was a true friend.
