According recent reports late on Tuesday night, an original-six organization has reportedly found their next head coach after parting ways with their former coach about mid-way through the 2024-25 season.
Ever since entering the off-season, the Boston Bruins organization have been looking for a new head coach after firing Jim Montgomery during the 2024-25 season.
Finally, after several weeks of searching for their new head coach and missing out on several great coaches, the Boston Bruins have hired their next head coach, someone who is familiar with the organization.
Both the New York Rangers, and Philadelphia Flyers secured their head coaches early into the offseason, Rick Tocchet to the Flyers and Mike Sullivan the Rangers. Reportedly two coaches the Boston Bruins were interested in.
It was later revealed that Tocchet did not want the Bruins coaching job because of GM Don Sweeney. Sweeney has a bad track record with head coaches, and he was also entering his final year of his deal, which scared Tocchet away.
