Former Rangers rival releases major career announcement
The veteran goalie, Brian Elliott who has spent 16 season with various teams in the NHL, has called it a career.
The announcement occurred as the St. Louis Blues announced former goalie Brian Elliott as part of the goaltending development and scouting:
"Brian Elliott will join the #stlblues in a development role. Will work with amateur staff regarding future players. Steen spoke to Elliott. Armstrong reached out the next day and Elliott said he was available. Elliott will be at development camp." Lou Korac of NHL.com said.

Elliot, the Newmarket, Ontario-born goalie was drafted in the ninth round 291st overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2003.
He appeared in 543 NHL games, Senators, Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames and Tampa Bay Lightning.
In 543 NHL games played, his record stands at 279-167-54, 2.57 GAA, and a .909 career save percentage.
He played in 48 Stanley Cup playoff games, with the Senators, Blues, and Flyers.
The Blues have a good one in Brian Elliott, who will help guide future prospects to their NHL dreams one day.
