The dust continues to settle after the announcements of the firing of Sheldon Keefe as head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs along with the major press conference they had yesterday when MLSE CEO Keith Pelley told the media that change is imminent and that winning the Stanley Cup is all that matters. Former NHL referee Tim Peel gave his thoughts on who should replace Keefe and that Craig berube would be the best choice.
During his podcast stripes snipes, peel explained that Berube would bring an element of accountability and love towards his players as he has been revered as a players coach for many years. Having won the Stanley Cup in 2019 with the St Louis Blues and shown great strides in getting players to turn their games around and playing playoff hockey certainly would be a choice that makes sense.
