Tragic news strikes the hockey community as reports surfaces that confirm the devastating passing of a young forward who was only 29-years old.
According to reports, 29-year-old forward
Jacob Bresser passed away late last month.
Bresser's hockey career started to gain a ton of attention when he was playing for Eau Claire Memorial High School. Where he managed to tally 47 goals, 23 assists for 70 points, in just 24 games played. Something that lead him to play for the Chicago USHL team.
Following that, he went on to play with the University of Wisconsin, and due to his off-ice leadership skills, the University named him as captain. He was also named to the NCAA III First Team All-American.
"It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of one of our own, Jacob Bresser. An Eau Claire kid who embodied what it truly meant to be a Blugold as a captain, a teammate, a son, a brother, and a husband. Once a Blugold, always a Blugold."
According to many reports, Bresser wasn't just known for his skills on the ice:
His skillset wasn't just used on the ice, he was a Series 7 financial Planner after passing 66 exams, grading in 2020 with dual majors where he would later on earn his Master's Degree.
Jacob will now forever be remembered by his peers for being loving, determined, and a professional individual.
"It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Jacob Bresser, who proudly wore our jersey during the 2015-16 season. Bresser was a great person on and off the ice. We will miss you deeply. Once a Jet, Always a Jet."
On behalf of everyone here at NY Rangers Insider, we'd like to send our deepest condolence to the family and friends of Jacob Bresser as they navigate through this difficult time.
May you Rest In Peace, Jacob Bresser.
