The inaugural season for Connor Bedard has been nothing short of wild.

He has faced his share of adversity from a broken jaw to vicious rumors on the web regarding Corey Perry and his opponents not giving him an inch on the ice.

During the Blackhawks game against the San Jose Sharks, it was clear that Sharks defenseman Calen Addison decided to do a cross check on Bedard and then sit on his back Until Tyler Johnson had seen enough and stepped in to the 18-year old's defence.

The Blackhawks lineup is far from complete as general manager Kyle Davidson continues to reshape the lineup into his vision.

It's widely expected that he will acquire tougher talent to encircle around Bedard as he continues to be a target by the rest of the league.

As Bedard continues to mature as a player and as a person, I would expect him to also step up his game and to defend himself so that other players do not walk all over him all the time.

The Blackhawks ended up defeating the Sharks 5-2.
