Laviolette Addresses Media On Team Dynamic And Line Adjusments
The Rangers dug deep again and played a much cleaner defensive game to beat the Islanders for their fifth win in this grueling stretch of six games in nine days.
They limited their division rival to 27 shots and six high-danger scoring chances, according to Natural Stat Trick.
Head coach Peter Laviolette talks on the Rangers defense today:
"As the game went on it got tighter and tighter."
He would go on to add on the team lines and how they contributed today:
"I actually thought all of the lines were good and contributed today."
The Rangers have been the best team in the league now for the last 18 games.
Soon, Peter Laviolette may want to seriously contemplate picking spots to protect his key players, keeping them fresh for the playoffs and avoiding any serious injuries.
Let's see how he handles the final stretch of the season.
