The Rangers and Predators combine for a trade during the 2024 NHL Draft
The New York Rangers made the decision to move up later in the the draft, which didn't involve any NHL players in order to do so.
Instead they sent a 2024 4th round pick(127th OA) and 2026 7th Round Pick(NYR) to receive the 2024 4th round pick(119th OA).

In doing so, they acquired tactician and Baie-Comeau Center Raoul Boilard 119th overall.
Boilard is known as a two-way center, the 18-year old, shooting left-handed scored 62 points( 22 G, and 40 A) in 68 games with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in the QMJHL.
«It means a lot (that the Rangers traded up to make this pick),» Boilard said. «That means they like me, so that's good. A good organization that likes me, it's a good sign.»

The Rangers valued his two-way skills, face-off capabilities, and his under-a-point-per-game production in the QMJHL.
Boilard was valued by the Rangers staff and they moved swiftly to make the deal and deepen the prospect pool with a great prospect, from Baie-Comeau.
